Weathering the Storm

Yesterday I was fortunate to be able to do an engagement shoot with an awesome, fun couple who made the drive from Saint John for some pics! We started the session in downtown Fredericton on the walking bridge. It was cloudy and warm, which made my job easier. In meeting these two, you can instantly tell how great they are together.  Constantly laughing and smiling, they made my job so fun. I barely had to give them any direction at all. They just did their thing and I was there to capture it. We took a break from shooting to chat wedding details and had planned on doing the second half of the session in the snowy woods behind my place. When we got back outside about 30 min later, it was insane! Ice pellets/snow and the wind had picked up significantly. But, because of those conditions, we were able to get this shot, which was my favorite of the day. I love this shot and think the feeling behind it resonates.  “Weathering the Storm”  is never easy when life gets tough, but it is always so much easier when you have someone to do it with. Thanks so much to Melody and Joel for coming up for some pics! You two are so obviously fantastic together and I feel so lucky that I got to do engagement pics for you and get to be a part of your wedding day.
